There’s sometimes a little confusion over what copywriters actually do.
Clue – it’s not copyright (that’s not our thing.)

Simply put, it’s persuasive selling, using compelling copy to market a product or service.*

“That’s nice, but I can do that myself.”

Ahh yes…Copywriting is one of those professions everyone thinks they can have a bash at. You wouldn’t be the first to think it looks like an easy job.

Look at the website copy of the last thing you purchased online. Chances are there was something in that text that made you pay attention, reflect or possibly even reminisce. It may have made you smile or feel another emotion.

Whatever it was, it pushed you to buy.

Copywriters specialise in tapping into customers’ emotions and recognising their pain points—and that’s just skimming the surface. Other qualities include research, communication, problem-solving, and writing skills. It’s well known that we switch hats several times within one job.

Web pages, blogging, social media captions, and printed media like leaflets and brochures all benefit from the hands of a copywriter. The copy will be tailored to your unique business and use storytelling to build client trust and connection.

Do I need one? Well, that depends. Do you want expertly written copy that sells with subtlety, is proofread and free from grammatical errors, and is written to promote SEO that pushes your website higher up the rankings?

Do you want your customers and clients to choose you over your competition?

It’s not me, it’s you.

Your copy isn’t about me. It’s about you, your business, and your customers. My job is to encapsulate that into engaging copy that puts your company in the spotlight and makes it shine.
